On November 10, 2014 we flew from Auckland, New Zealand to Christchurch on the South Island arriving around 10:00 pm. We stayed at the Sudima Hotel Christchurch Airport which like most of Christchurch was undergoing renovation resulting from the 2011 earthquake. We then spent the next 2 weeks exploring the South Island of New Zealand. We flew out of Christchurch on 24 November.
We traveled from Christchurch to Franz Josef Glacier from 11 November through 18 November.
On November 19 we left Franz Joseph and traveled around the north of the South Island of New Zealand arriving back at the Christchurch Airport on 24 November for our departure to Auckland and then on to the Cook Islands.
